From a medical environment, with musical and scientific training. Starting in 1967, Akhu Sono designs and produces immersive multimedia.

Company
Founding 01 COMMUNICATIONS, in 1971, he develops the first distributed-computing 3D animation lab, contributes to the Pantonal Institute R&D and completes Masters studies in Electroacoustics at McGill.

Multimedia IT
While producing for advertising markets, he developed applications for 3D, XD, animation, composition, modeling, knowledge management, operating systems, databases, drivers, spreadsheet, accounting, management.

Development
The energy and economic crisis of the late 70s hit advertising markets hard and by 1981, the company was offering development services for the emerging IT market, in medical and scientific visualization, AI, fighter pilot training, software development tools, CAD/CAM, multi-site construction management, supply chain, hospitality, rich-content multi-stream document management.

Collaboration
In the early 90s, with the emergence of new standards in distributed computing (DOM, CORBA, J2EE, JMS), development work turned to industrial collaboration portal markets, modeling and development tools, medical X-ray digitizers, and operations management for airlines, vehicle fleets (telemetry) and banking institutions.

Security
Faced with recurring content-sharing security problems, as on collaborative industrial portals, in 1999, the company put in place a team of experienced architects and designers to ensure the R&D for a (hybrid) cloud-based knowledge processing collaboration platform. The platform has been on the Internet since 2004.

Standards
Building on this work, the company contributed to some international standards organizations work and introduced specification proposals for secure sharing (OMG, TOG, OASIS), knowledge processing, programming (W3C, XML, XSLT) and strategic planning (ISO, StratML).

Specializing
In 2009, Akhu Sono founds Square Cosmos Inc. to develop virtual and multimedia environments, acquiring 01 COMMUNICATIONS' multimedia division (TelepathMedia) as well as Consonance Publishing and its unique natural phenomena R&D.

DNAOS
01 COMMUNICATIONS focused its resources on its DNAOS knowledge processing collaboration platform design & development of DNAOS technology, knowledge processing, security (CISSP), collaboration and distributed computing solutions.

Knowledge Processing & AI
"Artificial Knowledge & Intelligence" is part of Consonance Publishing's "Knowledge" collection, a series devoted to the natural phenomena of knowledge and intelligence.

International
Still active in development and consulting for large organizations, Akhu Sono has lived, worked and advised organizations and governments in the USA, Canada, Quebec, the Netherlands, France, Singapore, Vietnam and New Caledonia.

Knowledge Economy Strategy
